About Us

Founded in early 2003 to capitalize on opportunities in the burgeoning market for Ultra-wide Band technologies, Omnevia has brought several innovative applications to government and industrial clients.

Facilities:

Omnevia's headquarters are in Melbourne Florida with facilities in California and Texas.

We have formed strategic alliances with manufacturing and production partners to help ensure pre-production antennas, resulting from government R&D investment, can be mass-produced. Over $40M worth of capital equipment and facilities are used to directly support ongoing development efforts , including high-speed oscilloscopes, network and spectrum analyzers, a complete fabrication and machine shop, and laboratories with experimental and staging areas. In addition, Omnevia is 30 miles from Silicon Valley and outsources sub-tasks more efficiently performed in the private sector.   Management:

Our founders draw on the experience of dozens of successful designs over many years of development at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) on Micropower Impulse Radar and Radio (MIR).

E. Tom Rosenbury - President & CEO

Tom Rosenbury, President of Omnevia was formerly Program Leader of the Micropower Impulse Radio Program at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL).  He directed LLNL's development of ultrawideband (UWB) impulse radar and communication systems.  He has a background in electromagnetics, antennas and hardware and experimental design.  He received both his B.S.E.E. (1986) and M.S.E.E. (1988) from the University of Maryland (thesis: "Particle motion in a Free Electron Laser").  Tom joined Omnevia in 2003 and has research interests in impulse generation and detection, low-power sensors and communication systems, antenna design, radiometry (wideband, low noise) and applications of microwave devices.  He is the author or co-author of numerous inventions and publications.
