Radio wirelessly reports sensor-node status, GPS position and detection time to the operator. Radio is capable of transmitting and receiving at over one mile. When operated in the SEGA-node (ADSP) package and lying on the ground, typical operational range is limited to 100m. The radio is capable of relaying information at 115 kbaud. The antenna is omni-directional. The radio is available in several military and commercial bands.
